Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter was an American actor who was famous due to her roles in films Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. She has won several awards for her work and has even won an Oscar. The accomplished actress started her acting career on the stage through a variety of Broadway and Off-Broadway shows. Enthusiastic about acting from her childhood, she performed Helen Keller in a play in the fifth grade. After suffering from the Mumps, she was deaf in one of the sides of her ears. This didn't stop her from pursuing her dream to become an actor. While in college, she took classes in theatre and later moved from Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania to New York City in pursuit of her goal. Through a random encounter, she became stuck in an elevator with playwright Beth Henley and the two joined forces to create the Broadway Crimes of the Heart and made Hunter's debut. After that, she relocated from New York to Los Angeles and tried to find films roles. The film, Swing Shift, she landed an appearance as a supporting character. For the past 30 years she's appeared in various TV series and movies. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame actor as well as the Women in Film Lucy Award.
